Case Study- AntiProduct:

KT-PR/Noise Mgt provided the public Relations services for AntiProduct on two US tours and SxSW

Challenge: To obtain attention for UK DIY indie band AntiProduct at SxSW without a formal showcase booked. To push US launch EP with lead songs Bungee Jumping People Die and Good Vibrations cover.

Strategy: KT-PR/Noise located a vibrator sponsor called Good Vibrations to give the band $5000 worth of product for giveaway at SxSW and discovered in Texas it is against the law to have more than three vibes. The band agreed to hand out the vibrators in record time, while we leaked the event to the police and the major press. When the police arrived, the vibes were gone but the media got pictures of the pending arrest.

Result: AntiProduct was featured on the front pages of the Austin American Statesman News in the SxSW round-up coverage. Additionally, special correspondent from NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno- Wayne Coyne from the Flaming Lips located AntiProduct’s commotion and referred to them as “You are a walking talking music video,” and filmed the band for the show performing Bungee Jumping People Die, as well as a local radio station interview or two and 6 other significant media outlets.
