MAKO is the neoteric effort of former MCA recording artists Declan O’Shea and Christian Montagne, following the dissolution of Cyclefly,an extremely popular and successful alternative rock band. Signed in a London venue with Radioactive, a subsidiary of MCA Universal Records,Declan and Christianhoned their craft .Performing to sold-out venues in America,Canada and Europe, Cyclefly received extremely favourable reviews from the Woodstock,Leeds,and Reading Festivals of 1999. After Radioactive dissolved,MCA
picked up their contract, with impressive exposure on MTV2 and VH1.
